DESCRIPTION: Gilberts designed three large residential plots which form part of the Forthquarter master plan at Granton, Edinburgh. The development of over 400 flats for Cruden Homes, Places for People and Hillcrest Housing Association creates three distinct city blocks of 1, 2 and 3 bed apartments, ranging from four to six storeys.
The development is a mix of housing for sale and rent, including one of the first shared equity schemes in the city. Plot 20 was short-listed for the Scottish Homes Awards 2010 – Large affordable housing development of the year category.
